Envy among Siblings

Author: Sana Rehman

What is Envy among Siblings?

Envy is a feeling of discontented aroused by siblings' luck, possession, or quality. The envy among siblings has become a very alarming issue in the current time. Many awful, terrible, and nasty incidents have been seen regarding envy towards siblings on media. However, it is very important to identify the causes and ways to reduce envy among siblings. The common causes and ways to overcome envy are listed below.

What are the Causes of Envy

The causes of Envy are important to address so that recommendations can be identified. The following points are the fundamental causes of Envy.

Birth order. The birth order among sibling influences the personality patterns. It has been observed through literature those firstborn children are more confident and dominating compared to the other siblings. While the younger one found to be more stubborn, outspoken, and aggressive compare to the middle child. Besides, the middle child often manifests a shy, even-tempered, and spoiled baby. The feeling of envy developed when they do not get the environment according to their needs and personality demand.

Unfair Comparisons. Sometimes sibling starts hating each other due to making unfair comparisons. They do not understand their individual difference and want to get all the qualities and advantage the other sibling gets. For example, my sibling is more capable or beautiful than me. He gets more love from parents compared to me. These kinds of unfair comparisons lead to envy and hate among siblings.

Work pressure. Domestic work or work for financial support is also a reason for developing envy among siblings. It has been observed that if a sibling fulfills his work-oriented responsibilities properly, but the other sibling doesn’t. This kind of conflict also leads to a feeling of envy among siblings.

Family Influence. Sometimes family develops a feeling of hate or envy among their children. The provision of more academic and career opportunities to one child develops the hate of that particular child. Sometimes a child or person gets more respect from family due to his personality traits, as a result, the other sibling starts feeling insecure. These insecurities further retransform in envy and other negative emotions.

Parental Influence. Parental affection towards one child is considered another important factor in developing envy among other siblings. In a western culture like Pakistan, people either love their talented or successful child or the most incapable child. The preference and love for children vary from family to family. If parents love the incapable child the hardworking child experiences disappointment and as a result manifests negative feelings towards siblings. On the other hand, if a parent loves only a capable child, then a less hardworking child manifests more envy or feeling of hate towards other siblings.

Hitting Millstones. Sometimes one child of the family achieves high milestones such as high academic grades, a good job, or better carrier options. Such a milestone provides high attention from relatives, family, and people. High achievement of one child often develops low self-esteem among people and they start manifesting feelings of hatred.

How to Reduce Envy among Siblings?

The feeling of envy among siblings is very crucial to reduce for establishing healthy relationships. There are certain ways to control envy towards siblings, which are listed below.

Stop making Comparison. As mentioned above unfair comparison among siblings by parents, relatives or self is a very common cause. Therefore there is a need to avoid making a comparison in front of siblings. On the parental level, the parents should understand that each child is born with some special and unique characteristics. On a personal level, children, adults, or adolescents need to understand that they have different qualities and use their talent wisely to achieve their academic, career, or personal goal. They also need to understand that envy is a very negative feeling and blood relations are meant to be loved.

Divide work or responsibility equally. Every sibling needs to understand their role and responsibilities and perform their tasks persistently. The division of responsibilities and work is very effective in establishing healthy or stable relationships.

Remind positive traits. Usually, people start hating their siblings because they do not know their positive traits. Familiarity with personal traits or capabilities gives a sense of self-confidence. As a result, one doesn’t feel insecure about the success of other siblings. Not only familiarity but one should frequently remind their positive traits to avoid the feeling of envy.

Love Yourself. Always accept and love yourself, this s the only way to keep your mind positive. The people who do not love themselves often shoe unkind behavior towards others. Love towards self often develops the feeling of respect and affection for the other one. Hence in this way envy can hate can be reduced.

Find the special and alone time. Try to spend quality time with each of your siblings. Quality time will help you to establish mutual understanding. Mutual understanding would further help you to accept your siblings regardless of all flaws or virtues. All these factors would help to build a healthy relationship with siblings and overcome the feeling of envy.

How to Conduct Candidate Screening in Organization

Identification of Job Position

The identification of a suitable person or employee for an industrial or organizational job is challenging. The progress of any organization primarily depends on the employee's capabilities to work in extreme wok pressure (Kyllonen, &Kell, 2018). Employees meet long-term organization objectives and economic opportunities. Therefore, the selection of an employee is a systematic process for analyzing the organization's needs on how many employees are needed and what kind of knowledge, skills, and talents are required to satisfy the organization's needs. The current study highlights the process of assessment for the selection of Line Manger in Slovak enterprise Multinational corporations.

First Line managers (FLM) strives to enhance the workforce strengths in the respective department by implementing the rules and regulations. The first line manager not merely manage the present organizational climate but also focuses on the future prospect of the organization. Thereafter, it is crucial for them to develop strategic plans by keeping unity among team members.  Furthermore, the recruitment of the capable manager would assist in training the staff and updating the strategic plans. As the role of the FLM is very important; therefore, the selection of FLM must be followed by standardized testing and structured interviews.

The standardized testing and structured interviews help in selecting a suitable candidate for the manager post. The current study provides an in-depth understanding of the conduction of standardizing tests and structured interviews for the recruitment of suitable candidates. Furthermore, it also highlights how the scores of the standardized test and battery combine to provide valid and reliable results.

Analysis and Selection of Standardized Test and Psychometric Properties

The Slovak enterprises and other Multinational corporations implement the standardized and psychometrically sound test to investigate the suitable candidate for the job. The intelligent test measures the abilities of logical and abstract thinking to handle work in critical situations. Aptitude used to measure mechanical abilities or skills, manual dexterity in particular domains. The attainment test is used to measure the individual depth of knowledge in a particular domain.

The personality test also considers crucial in the selection process. Lastly, the assessment center primarily focuses on investigating that the individual is suitable for which position. For the selection of First-line managers in Slovak enterprise, the interviews and aptitude tests will be carried out. The three tests that will be used in the current study are the attainment test, aptitude test, and personality test.

The personality aptitude and attainment test have been chosen as they better fulfill the job characteristics for the post of first-line manager. The first line manager has to perform very critical responsibility. Therefore the assessment of multiple domains is crucial.

The personality, aptitude, and attainment test provide the multiple dimension approach of the candidate to assess the suitability of a job. The personality test would provide the leadership style and individual differences of the participants, either they can lead and manage a team or not. The individual differences in personality assessment would help in identifying which personality type is more accurate to handle extreme work pressure.

Furthermore, the personality assessment provides the Temperamental information, which helps in determining the discrepancies in understanding the easy and difficult temperament associated with organizational production. The aptitude test would help in assessing either the participant have the mechanical skill to accomplish and guide any task with the employees. The attainment test would provide if the participants have in-depth knowledge in their field or not. The mechanical skills and in-depth knowledge not merely save time but also helpful for providing training to the new employees for better consequences.

The literature suggested that all three tests have sound psychometric properties. All these tests have Cronbach alpha in the range of .70 to .90, respectively (Kyllonen, &Kell, 2018: Poore, Forlines, Miller, Regan, & Irvine, 2014). The test restest reliability was also found to be psychometrically sound. Furthermore, the validity falls between -1 to +1 range. The dimensions of personality, attitude, and attainment test would be considered while developing the interview items.

Development of Structured Interview

Apart from battery and tests, the interviews also play a crucial role in the assessment of candidate suitability for a particular job. Structure interviews provide in-depth information about the candidate’s verbal and non-verbal skills and abilities to perform a task. The verbal and non-verbal cues indicated on what question the candidate was more confident and quick.

In contrast to what questions, we were a bit reluctant and answered delayed. Further, the sitting style, posture, gesture, and eye contact also plays a significant role. The structured interview based on the scenario also found to effective in determining the skills of the participants. Therefore, in the current study for the recruitment of a first-line manager, a structured interview was designed.

The structured interview would provide additional and in-depth information along with the battery test. As the first line manager handle workflow, assign the task, deal with employee problems, and monitor the quality of work. Therefore the structured interview would be bout management skills, problem-solving skills, and leadership qualities. A 15-question of structured interviews are listed below.

1.      How can you complete a task in extreme work pressure?

2.      Do you think you have leadership qualities?

3.      Which leadership style is more important to manage teamwork, democratic, or autocratic?

4.      Are you considered a mentor?

5.      Do you have a history of negative interactions with your employees?

6.      Are you a problem solver?

7.      Describe your management skills?

8.      How do you see and define success?

9.      How you keep unity among your team members?

10.  How do you manage work or personal stress and conflicts among team members?

11.  How do you motivate employees?

12.  Share any tough decision you made?

13.  What is your biggest management weakness?

14.  How do you manage your stress?

15.  What is the essential aspect of growing industry or organization production?

The above-structured question provides the in-depth verbal ad non-verbal information about the suitability of the candidate for the post of first-line manager.

The Ethical and Diversity Standards and Consideration for Testing

The significance of ethical and diversity standards cannot be ignored, whole conducting the testing. Ethics must be followed while conducting a psychological or personality assessment. The key point that should be considered while conducting the testing. Initially, the individuality of the participant must be intact.

The difference in opinion, behavior, and skills should be respected. Secondly, the questions of the interviews, battery or test should not contain such items which may violet any psychological, emotional, behavioral, or physical state. Furthermore, the interviewer should not use such harsh words, and any kind of ethnic, racial, or religious discrimination should not be practiced. The favoritism for racial, religion and ethics composition should be avoided.

Individual Differences

The battery, test, and interviews are designed in such a way where all candidates are asked the same question in the same way and order. The scoring key of each response also has similar patterns. In such a case, we can observe the common traits of the individual, but the evaluation of individual differences is hard to investigate. To investigate the individual differences, the interpretation of tests, battery, and interviews need special attention.

The interpretation of interviews through coding and thematic analysis depicts a high variation in responses. Therefore, the identification of individual differences is easier in interviews. Fore ample the responses for item no 1 ‘’How can you complete the task in extreme work pressure’’ provides the variety of responses.

A few respondents might reply by assigning the task with a clear direction. Once the direction is clear, anything can be accomplished. While some other respondents may suggest that by being available for help all the time may reduce the work pressure.

Both the answers have values, but the behavioral assessment of the candidates in interview questions plays a crucial role. The time gaps in answer, voice, pitch, posture, gesture, and eye contact help the interviewer to assess how confident and true the candidate is in their works. As far as the assessment of battery and test is concerned.

The identification of outlines and variance may define the individual difference. The reliability of the data suggests that how many individuals have the same responses, and high reliability indicates the sound psychometric properties. In contrast, variance shows the ratio of people who did not agree with three other respondents. The Test and batteries also comprised of scoring essential such as agree, disagree, strongly agree, and strongly disagree. The degree of agrees falls in two categories strongly agree and agree. The selection of scoring keys also manifest the individual differences in agrees and disagrees.

Scholarly Evidence and Real-world Example to Support Decision

The role of batteries and interviews for the recruitment of the first-line manager is crucial. The literature is enriched with the empirical studies highlight the significance of both interviews and batteries for the recruitment process. The use of only batteries or interviews may not provide better results. Therefore the combination of batteries and interviews should be used for the selection process (Landy, & Conte, 2013). Hardavella, AamliGagnat, Xhamalaj, &Saad, 2016) recommended that the preparation of interviews should match the test items to identify the discrepancies in the assessment.

The similar responses in both the battery and interview illustrate the high capabilities of the candidate. In contrast, if the result of the battery or test doesn’t match with the interview answer, it depicts the person is not providing a valid and reliable result. In such cases, the person should not be a recruit for the company. Vermeeren et al., 2014 suggested that the financial growth of any organization or industry depends on the fine selection of participants. The selection through standardizes test and structured interview are the fundamental source of employee recruitment. Warth, &Dyb, 2019) stated that the teamwork in any organization or industry is common, and the tests to check the ability to work in a team, workload, and problem-solving must be checked prior to the selection of the candidates (Fleishman, 1988).

In real life, the temperament and attitude of the people help in determining the capabilities and personality patterns of the individual. These temperaments and aptitudes help in determining the career, course subject, and future direction. The selection of course books Based on interest and aptitude brings about the future prospect of the individual. Similarly, the selection of employees based on standardized tests and structured interviews are provides capable candidates to enhance the productivity of the organization.

Gender Issues and Psychology: A Perspective of Female sufferings in Pakistan

Earlier Schools of Thought in Psychology and Gender Differences

Structuralism

The pinoeers of struralsim were primerily interested in Structuralists inrested the structure of human mind. The human mind and mental process has been studied by introspection method.  Structuarlist were interested in generalised adult mind and ignored the factor of individual difference. In particular the gender differences have been ignored while studying the human mind and mental processes (Shields, 1975). Ignoring gender difference doesn't mean that the structuarlist consider men and women equally. The subject matter of structuarlist experiment were predominantly males. Therefore the generalised mind meant to be males mind. According to a report the women in USA were prohibited by experimental psychologist to participate in the research  (Schultz & Schultz, 2004).

Functionalism.

Psychologist took more practical pragmatical approach in U.S. Functionalist focused upon the function of the mind as compared to the structured of the mind. Functionalist included women, men, children and  animals as subject matter. The functionalist discriminated women from men in a few dimensions.
·       Men are more intelligent than females
·       Comparatively females benefit less from education than males.
·       Females have more strong maternal in-strict than males.
·       Females are less competent to set an example for success
The functionalist were more interested in nurture than than nature. The gender or sex role was not a matter of subject for functionalist. The functionalist faced severe criticism due to gender biased approach.
Female psychologists such as Letta Setter Hollignworth, and Helen Thompson WoolleyFemale argued and took a stand against the functionalist view of women. Woolley in the early 1900s highlighted a point that the research regarding the sex roles and sex differences should be clearer prejudice, personal bias and sentiments. Hollingworth recommended that women capabilities cannot be determined or underestimated unless they were given oppertunity to choose life they would like either for maternity or career.

Behaviourism.

Behaviourist approach brought an advance perspectives

. Behaviourism introduced the introspection method to understand the inner experience. Although the theoretical framework was different for both functionalist and behaviorist, their ephsis towards gender difference was not different. The primary interest of the behaviorist was memory and learning.  Gender roles and sex difference along with social determinants have been ignored. Early behaviorist created womanless psychologists (Crawford and Marecek, 1989). The research approach of behaviorist negatively affected the women status in psychology. Initially women have not been taken as a part of research, or whether we're consider as a participants, gender difference have been ignored.

Psychoanalytic Psychology.

Psychoanalytic approach proposed by sigmund freud has been the most criticised yet inluential in the history of psychology. Psychoanalytic primarily introduced the personality difference or sex differences. Freud postulated the clear conceptualization of gender and sex differences.
Freud talked about the developmental stages of personality regarding “Psycho-sexual Development”. Personality is guided and run by basic energy; instincts are the source of energy.

Psychosexual stages

Odipus and Eectra Complex. These stages are very crucial in personality development as children feel attraction towards the opposite-sex parent, and hostility towards the same-sex parent develops. The child ultimately resolves this conflict in the form of identification with the same-sex parent.
The male child whose masculinity develops in a normal fashion undergoes very severe anxiety and conflict in early childhood. The child develops the hatred for the father, fears him, and undergoes trauma. The child feels more attraction towards his mother and wants to get the place of his father. For that purpose he practices the behaviors of his father such as wearning his shoes and clothes.
In contrast the female child develop more attraction towards his father and practices her mother role to become more closer to his father. in this way both geder learn and practice their roles by identify their gender. They feels attraction for opposite gender but plays the roles of same gender.
Psychoanalytic Feminism. Psychoanalytic feminism Roots in the work of Freud. Gender is not a biologically determined phenomenon. Psychosexual development leads to the gender role that we adopt and play. Childhood experiences are responsible for making the male believe that he is masculine and making a female believe that she is feminine. These experiences lead to gender inequality. This is a result of a male-dominated society.

Why are Gender Issues important to study?

Almost every species in the world is segregated into two sexes namely masculine and feminine. The term sex refers to ones biological, anatomical and physical entity. Society and cultures contributed highly in defining particularities of members of each sex within a continuous span of time and history. Society has established distinct features and traits for both sexes to differentiate each other. Such contribution by society is termed as Gender, a term adopted from anthropology to define roles, behaviours and attitudes a culture attribute to a person's biological sex.
•        To understand the barrier that inhibits the social rights of the women
•        To eradicate those barriers
•        To create more opportunities for women
•        To expanded career opportunities for women
•        More women in elected bodies at local, national, and international levels
•        Rape is now a crime against humanity punishable by international criminal court
•        Reproductive rights allow women to choose when/whether or not to have a child(ren)

Key Issues Women Encounter in Pakistan

The key issues women encounter in Pakistan has been divided into two sections, the historical and contemporary issues.

Historical

Women’s Studies began as a field of study in the late 1960s as a response to the exclusion of women’s contributions and perspectives from traditional academic disciplines.

Gender Biases. As the heading suggests, there is no debate over the fact that men are given unfair advantages over women under certain circumstances. In the past female choices, decision, desires and will were considered the extraordinary thing and used to discouraged at a high scale.

Sexual Harassment. The most common problem faced by women in Pakistan is that of sexual harassment. Men continue to believe that a working woman is “public property”, and often attempt to take advantage of this. Unsafe and unhealthy environments in Pakistan have been ever-prevalent, and this is what contributes to the male mindset of considering weak and fragile women as easy targets.

Education. In the past female used to be responsible for doing household chores and education was considered to be males domain.

Marriage. Female did not have any freedom to make informed choices for selecting their spouses. In some backward areas of Pakistan the female sacrifices their choices and wills in the name of so-called tradition. Such as the love marriage concept is forbidden in Baluchistan. The Barahvi tribe also follow the marriage ritual of ‘'Valver'' in which the groom had to pay some money to the parents of the bridal. Currently, some studies suggest that the Valver ritual is decreasing gradually, after diverse adverse social incidents.

Husband Insecurity. Being a wise woman had to deal with the husband’s ego and obscure insecurities time and again. Men in Pakistan usually believe that their kind of gender should be the only breadwinners of the entire family. They might feel threatened by their wives interaction with male, colleagues and see their proud achievements as unwanted threats.

Societal pressure: (log kia kahain gy) This one factor or claim has ruined a majority of women’s lives as compared to no other. Whether you’re a working woman or a housewife, there’s always the threat of ‘log kya kahain gai‘ and how others will perceive you through their judgments and opinions. They had been assumed that by working or doing something for themselves and neglecting your house, family and kids etc., and most probably accredit you with filthy and hurtful titles.

Rape and Honour Killing. These two problems are part and parcel of the bigger picture in this country which a lot of people tend to ignore completely. Rape culture is wrong, but in actuality, rape culture is justified within Pakistan. It is justified by the excuse that Islam promotes modesty and has tasked men with protecting inferior women. It is furthermore, justified by the most dangerous of all excuses, traditional norms Even despite the introduction of the Criminal Law Act in 2016 with amendments in previous laws, 95% of victims of honour killing today are still women. Up to 1000 women are murdered every year in the name of honour, Aurat Foundation reports, with more than 60% of honour-related crimes going unreported.

Contemporary Issues

Verbal abuse: In the contemporary issue verbal abuse or harassment is more common than the physical abuse.

Unwanted compliments.  Female face unwanted compliments for physical structure and behaviours. They encounter unwanted complaints on their dressing sense and socioeconomic status as well.

Cyber Bullying. Cyberbullying is one of the current issues women face on a high scale. They upload some pictures on social media and get brutal compliments that adversely affect their mental health.

Social Standards of beauty. The national and international standard of beauty is the causing frustration among females. They strive for making their physical structure according to the standard of the society and in this long run faces much complication. The failure in getting the desired standard causes psychological issues and eating disorders.

Loneliness: The modern women have independence and career, but they reported themselves as more victim of loneliness. The independence in making choices isolate her from their loved ones, and again they suffer from mental health issues.

Psychological sufferings. The advance living standards regarding education, occupation, beauty standards, and technological use (social media) has created a high atmosphere of competition. The people try to defeat one another in the long run of unhealthy competition and face mental issues.

Career choice. Currently education system for female has improved as they allowed to get the higher secondary education to spend a healthy lifestyle. Education is not merely universal among high socioeconomic people, but the low socioeconomic peoples also prefer literacy for the children. Unfortunately, the concept of career choice is weak in the making prospects of females. The female is given arts subjects for their education is to practice a healthy lifestyle rather than move ahead in professional life.
Family planning practices.  Females have no right to decide number, time and spacing of the childbirth.

Novels and Books Trigger Emotions

 Author: Rameen Saeed

Books are handwritten pieces of information and wellspring of data. Books open a new world loaded up with learning, accommodating advice, life exercises, engaging viewpoints that persuade one and inspire the headway of life. Books grow our insight.
While reading any book, readers encounter many words that expand their knowledge and vocabulary skills. There are different kinds of books enlist below:
•    Horror
•    Informative
•    Religious
•    Suspense
•    Fiction
•    Non-fiction
•    Mystery
•    Comic
•    Thriller etc.
These books provide vast information about every aspect of life.  Humans emotions are complex. They get involved in different emotional phases. Books play a crucial role in the lives of humans. When we read some kind of books, we think about the book and thinking cause emotions (Scherer, K. 2009). When we read any kind of book, we start perceiving it.
Reading improve Brain functions
The vast majority can distinguish books that have to establish extraordinary connections on them and, abstractly, changed how they think. Different parts of the brain are involved while we read any kind of book. Books are stories, and stories are confounded objects of correspondence (Abbott, 2008).
The Current neurobiological hypothesis of stories depicts the system of mind districts that are dynamic and probably in charge of individual preparing of stories while they are being devoured. While dynamic assignments have generally been utilized to distinguish utilitarian systems inside the cerebrum, resting-state fMRI has turned into a typical apparatus to recognize steady examples of connected movement, named resting-state systems (RSNs) (Biswal et al., 1995, 2010; Kelly et al., 2012; Raichle et al., 2001).
Reading books have some sort of benefits:
•    Reading improve brain connectivity
•    It puts readers in a character, figuratively and biologically
•    Rewire brain and create a new white matter
•    Increase the capacity of the working brain.
•    Expand reader attention span
The emotion associated with Reading books
Human being has different kinds of emotion. While we read, we experience sadness, happiness, excitement, suspense, fear, and disappointment. When we read some comedy books, we experience happiness, and we smile and laugh with the characters of the books. While reading some sort of horror and thriller books, we experience multiple emotions like fear, excitement, suspense, and joy at the same time. We love the positive character of the book and remember it whenever someone asks about the favourite character in the novel. Characters built in our minds. Fiction has been appeared to influence the manners of thinking and real intellectual examples of readers. Educators have utilised books as an approach to build understudies' compassionate reactions.
(Gibson, Donna M. 2007). Neil Gaiman, in a location given to the Reading Agency in 2013, depicts his inclination finally that perusing fiction straightforwardly impacts an individual's comprehension of other individuals and their general surroundings. As a result, Gaiman accepts that perusing writing improves compassion and the reader's Theory of Mind.
"You get the opportunity to feel things, visit places you could never generally know. You get the opportunity to discover that every other person out there is me, also. You're another person, and when you come back to your very own reality, you will be somewhat changed." Gaiman, Neil. 2016.
At the point when readers become completely occupied with books, they feel as though they are in the thick of the activity (transportation) and as though they have turned into the characters (ID) Green, Melanie C., and Jenna L. Clark. 2013
They lose their feeling of mindfulness as they recognise more with the activity and setting of the story. Narrative transportation combines a few mental components – creative mind, feelings, and focus – which enable the readers to respond to the story as though it were genuine. This happens notwithstanding when the readers understand the work is fiction, and it takes into consideration conduct and conviction frameworks to be substantively influenced after the story is done (Bal, P. Matthijs, and MartijnVeltkamp. 2013).
Books have different kinds of impact in persons, sometimes it encourages the person to do some sort of good things, and sometimes the reader is disappointed. Various parts of the content are probably going to be associated with summoning at least one of these sorts of feelings (Braun and Cupchik, 2001). We emotionally trigger while reading books because we associate ourselves with the characters. When the character is happy, we experience happiness, and when a character experiences some kind of harm and fear, we experience the same type of emotions. We emotionally attach ourselves to the characters. Sometimes they become our role models that influence our lives.
An alternate arrangement of feelings is evoked when entering the account universe of a story, known as account feelings. Miall and Kuiken (2002) contended that stylish feelings could join with story feelings to change them, and this is critical to the feeling of fulfilment in abstract perusing.
We emotionally attach ourselves to the environment of fiction stories. We imagine ourselves in their world and experience every emotion. The strengths that have helped you to succeed are also your greatest emotional triggers when you feel someone is not honouring what makes you special. When your brain perceives that someone has taken or plans to take one of these important things away from you, then your emotions are triggered. We feel burdened and relieve our emotions in different ways. Sometimes we cry a lot to relieve pain, and sometimes we burst out with anger to relive negative emotions or disturbing thoughts.
Emotional triggers the reader face they cry, they become happy, sad, curious, thriller and fear at the same time when the character of the novel experiences these things. Emotional triggers, the more you become joined to these necessities, the more your mind will be vigilant for conditions that compromise your capacity to have these requirements met. At that point, your needs turned out to be passionate triggers. Without deliberately recognising the need that is setting off the enthusiastic response, we become oppressed to the need. Then again, on the off chance that we sincerely announce our needs—that we had anticipated that individuals should treat us with a certain goal in mind and had trusted situations would develop as we had arranged—at that point we can start to see life all the more dispassionately. From this point of view, we are more liberated to pick our responses. Reading has some sort of impact on our lives.
